We began our adventure today with out motorcoach ride to the Minneapolis airport and a five and a half hour flight to Anchorage. Luckily most of us were able to get a nap in because there is a 3 hour time difference so arrival at 5:30 PM Anchorage time is actually 8:30 our time. The weather was cool 57 degrees and misty when we landed but the forecast for tomorrow is 65 and sunny. Hayoo! We go to see the Mountain tomorrow, Mt. MkKinley and at 20, 320 feet we need good weather to witness her majesty.
Our hotel tonight is located right downtown Anchorage close to the area that the large earthquake happened in the 1960's. Many reader boards downtown give us more information on this area. Connie VanderPoel, Tour Director
