Niagara Falls - Day 8

The morning of this last day was spent in Amish country, south of Eau Claire, WI. We shopped at a bulk food store just outside of Fall Creek, WI, and then continued to Augusta where we picked up our step-on guide. It was a beautiful day, and there was a lot of area activity. There were Amish in town, driving buggies on the roads, working in the fields, getting ready for a big local auction tomorrow and at the one farm where we stopped, even getting on the bus to sell home-made breads, cookies, candy and jam. We walked through a farm home set up as Amish would live, and made one final stop at the beautiful Augusta Mill. Before leaving the area, we had some shopping time in Augusta where hand-crafted quilts, furniture and other smaller items are sold. The rest of the day was spent driving home and saying goodbye to new friends from the tour. - Laurel Johnson, Tour Director
