New England - Day 5

We started out the day in the state of New York, did sightseeing in Vermont and New Hampshire, checked into our hotel in Vermont, ate dinner in New Hampshire, and returned to the hotel in Vermont. These two states are not very large!

Today we celebrated a birthday, had an M & M day learning about marble and maple, visited a New England church, walked through a cemetery with gravestones from three centuries, bought some unique Vermont products (some family members are going to get unexpected gifts later this year) and were thrilled by both the cooperative weather and the beautiful fall colors. We took pictures of covered bridges, drove across a bridge made out of marble, saw many of the students at Dartmouth and tonight some of us tried eating whole steamed lobster. Mixed reactions included "delicious" and "not very much to eat after all that work!" - Laurel Johnson, Tour Director
