Christmas in Branson Nov. 17-22 Day 5

Clear, crisp and sunny. A beautiful driving day. We rubbed elbows with about five other tour groups at our morning break, which made for lines at the cash register and restrooms. When we get home, we will enjoy being able to use our own bathroom without standing in line!

Lunch was at a meat market out in the country. It smelled so good inside, and the food was delicious.

Our major stop for the day was in Kansas City at the Liberty Memorial with its new World War I Museum. We had a wonderful guided tour of museum highlights including two very informative movies. There was enough time at the end for us to go to the top of the Liberty Memorial Tower for a bird's eye view of Kansas City.

We continued to St. Joseph. Before checking into the hotel, we stopped at the Russell Stover outlet store and had a good time sampling and buying. The hotel had its usual evening reception, which gave us time to socialize with others from our group. It is obvious that even with a large tour group, getting acquainted and making new friends is a real highlight. - Laurel Johnson, Tour Director
