Christmas in Branson - November 11-16 Day 6

We had cloudless sunny skies this morning, homeward bound from St. Joseph. We had driven this same stretch the first day, but today we saw what we hadn’t been able to see before. We especially noticed the flat country after all the hills in the Ozarks.

I asked people what they learned or will remember from our Branson tour. Someone said they had learned that you should always have a Plan B. Like when the roads are icy and the first plan doesn’t work out.

One couple learned that people are honest. The maid had left their hotel room door ajar, and nothing was missing when they returned.

There were some that suggested they might not ride in an elevator again! Locked in a very full elevator for 10 minutes was not a highlight for those at the bottom, and walking 457 steps down from the top wasn’t all that fun for those abandoned at the top!

We learned a local phrase to add to our conversation: You’re handier than a pocket on a shirt.

Many thought it was neat that the entertainers would go to other shows and promote other shows. It seemed that they were almost like a family.

Finally, our traveling group of 35 became a family, and we now have a whole group of new friends.- Laurel Johnson, Tour Director
