Christmas in Branson November 17-22 Day 2

Today was sunny, clear and crisp with temperatures below normal. The drive south to Branson was interesting with beef cattle grazing on the rolling, wooded hills.

After lunch in Branson, we drove into the old downtown to see what Branson had been before the first theater was built in 1964. We continued on to the state highway #76 which is now the heart of Branson's theaters, hotels and restaurants.

Our first show was in a very small, intimate setting. Justin Flom, a young illusionist originally from Eden Prairie, MN gave us such an entertaining afternoon. He was funny, energetic and talented. He asked two of our people to help him with some of his sleight of hand or card
tricks. It was an unexpectedly delightful show.

After checking into our hotel, we ate and went to the Andy Williams show. Comments of, "He's better now than when we saw him five years ago," and "He still hits all the high notes," indicated that we were impressed with Andy's singing voice. His show was similar to his TV variety show, with a variety of guests. Dancers and singers in addition to Andy made it a
memorable evening.

Our finale was a drive through the Branson Festival of Lights, an annual treat. -Laurel Johnson, Tour Director
