Brrr! It was an adjustment to step outside this morning and find a 35 degree drop in temperature overnight. We were blessed to find all the ice gone by the time we arrived in Oklahoma City. The Park Service had put out chemicals on the sidewalks so we bundled up and were able to do our outdoor plaza tour at the Oklahoma City National Memorial. The museum displays of the 1995 bombing were a sobering reminder of the "Act of Terrorism" and its effects.
We found more and more snow as we came into Emporia for the night. We're missing the palm trees and pansies.
Tomorrow - we head home. - Laurel Johnson - Tour Director
