This morning we woke up to a nice change of weather with a dry, although cloudy day. We drove south, arriving in Branson by noon. Our afternoon entertainment was singer Daniel O'Donnell. His partner, Mary Duff, had broken her leg before leaving Ireland, so she had to come out on stage in a wheelchair and sing while seated on a stool, but she was still a big part of the show. After checking into our hotel, we had dinner and then got to the Mickey Gilley theate. We arrived in time to watch the very informative and entertaining pre-show video and learned a lot about Mickey Gilley's rise to fame. Then at 8:00 we were treated to non-stop music with Mickey and his band, including sidekick Joey Riley. It was a great first day in Branson.- Laurel Johnson Tour Director
