Despite soggy weather, we had a great first day. The rain came down all morning and the wind buffeted us all day, but by the time we arrived at our hotel in Galesburg, IL, we actually saw sun. We spent a good bit of the day getting acquainted and comparing what we are hoping to see in
Washington DC. The group is exceptionally jovial, and after a sing along, we can also report that it is an above-average singing group. As we headed south, we were seeing increasing signs of spring with more green grass. The cherry blossom progress report looks hopeful, so that would be
